Denmark’s sovereignty must be respected

European Union foreign policy chief Kaya Kallas announced Thursday that Greenland’s sovereignty and territorial integrity should be respected, after US President-elect Donald Trump proposed acquiring this Danish territory.

Callas said in response to questions from journalists in Brussels, “Greenland is part of Denmark… We must respect Greenland’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.”
