المملكة: Bahrain stands in solidarity with the Kingdom in its measures to preserve its sovereignty and security


The Bahraini Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirmed the solidarity of the Kingdom of Bahrain complete with Houthi militia supported by Iran, and targeted a ship belonging to a Saudi company while it was sailing in the Red Sea, causing a fire to break out in the bow of the ship without causing casualties.
It stressed that this is a flagrant violation of international law and the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea, and a serious threat to the security of maritime navigation and the safety of international trade and energy supplies.
Bahrain renewed its call on the international community, especially the Security Council, to assume its responsibilities in putting an end to these terrorist attacks, and to take deterrent measures to protect the security of And the safety of maritime navigation in the Strait of Hormuz, Bab al-Mandab and other vital waterways, and holding those responsible for these attacks accountable, in a way that preserves regional and global security and stability.

Targeting a ship in the Red Sea

An official source in the Transport Authority said that the ship (ENCELIA) belonging to a Saudi company was targeted while sailing in the Red Sea, which caused a fire in the bow of the ship.

Al-Ekhbariya channel quoted the source as confirming the safety of all members of the ship’s crew, and that the concerned authorities are taking all necessary measures to secure the ship and its crew and protect the marine environment.
He stressed that these targets violate international laws and norms that guarantee the safety of commercial ships and their crews.
