The launch of the 22nd Ajman Arabian Horse Championship

Ajman, 10 January / WAM / Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Ajman, and the follow-up and supervision of His Highness Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman, Chairman of the Executive Council, the activities of the 22nd edition of the Championship were launched yesterday evening, Thursday. Ajman Beauty Show for Purebred Arabian Horses, which lasts for three days in the Al Zorah area, with the support of the Emirates Arabian Horse Association.
289 horses from the most famous owners and the most prominent and oldest stables in the Emirates will compete in the championship rounds, and the participating horses are distinguished by having won multiple championship titles in the Emirates and abroad.
The competitions are judged by arbitrators from the Emirates and Gulf countries, which reflects the success of national cadres in the Gulf Cooperation Council countries in managing major equestrian tournaments.
His Excellency Khaled Ghanem Al Amiri, Chairman of the Supreme Organizing Committee of the Championship, confirmed that the patronage of His Highness the Ruler of Ajman, and the support of His Highness Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, for the championship, has a great impact in promoting this sport, which represents part of the Emirati cultural heritage.

He added that His Highness the Crown Prince of Ajman pays special attention to supporting horse owners, whether through offering valuable prizes or sponsoring competitions that contribute to highlighting the beauty of purebred Arabian horses. His Highness also encourages the organization of events that bring together equestrian enthusiasts and enhance the status of the UAE, as a leading destination in Horse sports globally and introducing the authenticity of Arabian horses and their distinctive value in the Arab and Islamic heritage
He pointed out the keenness of His Highness the Crown Prince of Ajman to involve families in equestrian sports and enhance their presence in heritage activities accompanying the tournaments, and His Highness directs that these tournaments be an opportunity to bring together community members of all ages, as equestrian sports are integrated with other heritage activities, such as handicraft displays and popular foods. And cultural performances that reflect the Emirati identity.
He added that the tournament enhances generations’ communication with their heritage, and allows children and young people to learn about the importance of horses in the history of the Emirates and their place as an integral part of the national culture, noting that these events contribute to consolidating the family spirit and promoting authentic Emirati values, which makes the tournament more comprehensive and attractive to all. Community members.
The first day witnessed strong competition in 9 categories: 1-year-old fillies in 4 categories “A, B, C, D”, 2-year-old fillies in 3 categories “A, B, C”, 3-year-old fillies, and 4-year-old mares and above. above.
The tournament organizers invited the public to attend the tournament activities, which include the “Heritage Village” as an accompanying event that displays the products of youth and craftsmen projects, in addition to performances of popular songs and cultural and artistic paintings.
The tournament is supported by a large number of companies and institutions, represented by Al-Rasikhoon Real Estate Company, E&Emirates Company, Union Water and Electricity Company, Al-Futtaim Motors, The Elite Cars International, Ajman Bank, Ames Group, Ajman Chamber, and Zamalek Contracting Company.
