In turn, Mohsen Sarhan, the media spokesman for the family of the late artist Shukri Sarhan, quickly issued a fiery statement on his Facebook page. In the words of the family, he said: “We listened to the opinion of the young artist Omar Metwally in one of the programs on social media, who criticized the talent of the great artist Shukri Sarhan and described it as weak and that he had taken a position he did not deserve, and he was completely wrong.”
And he added words directed at Metwally: “I direct my response to you with some facts that you do not know due to your young age, your talent, your lack of fitness, and your lack of ability to speak well about a giant of the giants of Egyptian and Arab art. Firstly, Shukri Sarhan, a graduate of the first batch of the Higher Institute of Dramatic Arts and passed the admission test from professors who established the science and art of performance.” The actor stood in front of Zaki Tulaimat, George Abyad, and Youssef Wehbe, and he was no more than sixteen years old.
