The competition provides young talents and creators in the fields of photography and directing the opportunity to participate by documenting the works of various handicrafts through creative videos that highlight the aesthetics and originality of these crafts..
Participate in the competition
The competition includes the submission of short video clips not exceeding 30 seconds, during which the tools and techniques of the selected craft are demonstrated, with complete documentation of the production journey, from the selection of raw materials to the presentation of the final product.
Entries will be published on social media platforms using the designated hashtag #YearofHandicrafts2025, provided that the participating account is public and accessible.
This competition aims to link handicrafts with the Saudi identity and enhance creativity in this field by highlighting craft skills in innovative and modern ways.
Registration for the competition began on January 8, 2025 and continues until January 31, 2025, while the winners will be announced on March 2, 2025.
Valuable prizes are offered to the winners, including 10,000 Saudi riyals for first place, 7,500 riyals for second place, 5,000 riyals for third place, in addition to 2,000 riyals for each winner from fourth to tenth place..
The Ministry of Culture invites all those interested in participating to visit the dedicated electronic platform to view the guide and submit their contributions, which opens new horizons for celebrating handicrafts and strengthening their connection with society.
