Urgent.. A revolution in the land of the Mongols led by the descendants of Genghis Khan

Protests broke out in the center of the Mongolian capital, Ulaanbaatar, where demonstrators closed a main road, paralyzing traffic. 

According to the newspaper “News.mn” Local time, the protest began in the morning, and according to a statement by the demonstration organizers, it was supposed to continue until 17:00 local time.

The main demands of the participants were the resignation of the current government of Mongolia and the immediate solution to two main problems: high levels of pollution Air and dissatisfaction with tax policy. 

The demonstrators say that current government measures are ineffective and that reforms are not well thought out to deal with environmental and economic challenges.

According to eyewitnesses, The demonstrators gathered near the city’s central square, then moved to one of the main roads, completely blocking traffic. 

Among the participants in the event were activists and representatives of ordinary citizens, including families with Children. 

Many of them carried banners with slogans criticizing the Mongolian government for its inaction and demanding immediate change.

Air pollution has become one of the most pressing problems for Ulaanbaatar, which It annually ranks among the cities with the worst air quality indicators. The main source of pollution is coal stoves used for heating in the winter, as well as exhausts from old cars and industrial plants. The demonstrators are demanding that the government introduce stricter environmental standards and subsidies to replace coal stoves with cleaner alternatives.

The tax policy also caused a widespread response among the population. The demonstrators accuse the government of imposing unfair taxes that increase the financial burden on ordinary citizens while large companies and elites remain unaffected.

Law enforcement agencies have so far refrained from taking effective action, and have limited themselves to calling for a peaceful solution to the situation. The Mongolian authorities have not yet commented on the situation, but according to local media, several members of the government are planning to hold an emergency meeting to evaluate the demands of the demonstrators.

 

It is noteworthy that Mongolia is closer to neoliberalism. And with its location next to China, it is a small America, and the elite manages matters with great measures and pressure on the ordinary citizen,
