The black boxes of the Korean plane stopped recording just before the explosion
South Korean investigative authorities said on Saturday that the black boxes of the passenger plane that crashed last month stopped recording 4 minutes before the explosion.
South Korean authorities stated that an analysis by the US National Transportation Safety Board of the flight data recorder and cockpit voice recorder from the 737-B800 showed that recordings stopped on both devices about 4 minutes before the plane hit a concrete barrier, according to the South Korean Yonhap News Agency.

Investigation into the accident
The explosion occurred at 9:3 a.m. on December 29, when the plane collided with a concrete barrier containing positioning equipment at the end of Muan International Airport after landing and sliding without lowering the landing gear.
The flight data recorder and cockpit voice recorder stopped recording data starting at 8:59 a.m., making it difficult for investigators to analyze the situation.
Authorities said that although flight data recorder and cockpit voice recorder data are important to the investigation, they are not the only source of evidence.
They said the investigation includes analyzing various sources of information, including air traffic control records, video footage of the accident and debris from the site.
