King Abdulaziz House celebrates the centenary of the book “Kings of the Arabs”

Under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Faisal bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Special Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the King Abdulaziz Foundation, the Foundation, in cooperation with the Amin Al-Rihani Foundation, is organizing on January 15, 2025, a scientific symposium in the capital, Riyadh, to celebrate the centenary of the book “Kings of the Arabs” by the author and intellectual. The book is considered one of the most prominent literary works that documented life in the Arab region and its history at the beginning of the twentieth century, highlighting the impact of this distinguished book in documenting Arab culture, and Al-Rihani’s visions on the future of Arab societies, by reviewing various cultural and intellectual themes.

Centenary of the book “Kings of the Arabs”

An elite group of academics and thinkers from various disciplines will participate in the symposium, to discuss the deep and multiple dimensions included in the book “Kings of the Arabs.”
The symposium will review Al-Rihani’s contributions as a multi-disciplinary writer, as he wrote in the fields of literature, philosophy, politics, sociology, and travel literature, which earned him a special status and made his visions transcend time and place.

Reviving Arab cultural heritage

Through this symposium, the King Abdulaziz Foundation seeks to revive Arab cultural heritage and enhance awareness of the importance of documenting the history of the region and its societies.
The symposium’s activities include dialogue sessions and an accompanying exhibition, which displays excerpts from the book and Al-Rihani’s most prominent achievements, which reflect his deep vision and the comprehensiveness of his literary fields.
