Crowning the winners at the festival "Al Ain winter" For chess
Al Ain, January 13 / WAM / The activities of the Rapid Chess Championship concluded yesterday with the crowning of the winners within the “Al Ain Winter” festival, organized by the Al Ain Chess and Mind Games Club.
French champion Cécile Husernot won the rapid chess championship title, followed by Abdullah Younis Al-Khamiri, and Ghaith Safsuf Al-Nuaimi third.
Sheikha Abdullah Al-Muraikhi won the Best Player Award, Ayham Sayed and Sarah Elias won the Best Junior Male and Female U-14 award, and Abdullah Ghazi Ishaq and Mirtika Prakash won the Best Junior Male and Female U-12 award.
Hamdan Al Ali and Latifa Khaled Al Obaidi won the award for the best male and female under 10 years, Hamdan Obaid Al Zaabi and Maryam Hamdan Al Kindi won the award for the best male and female under 8 years category, and Hazza Obaid Al Zaabi won the award for the best rookie player.
The closing ceremony and crowning of the winners was attended by Hisham Al-Taher, CEO and Managing Director of the club, and he directed the development of the club’s competitions to achieve the maximum technical benefit for male and female players, to raise their international rankings and develop their results in local, continental and international competitions.
