36.4% percentage of youth empowerment in administrative positions

Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) confirmed that the Authority’s Youth Council supports the authority’s efforts to achieve the vision of the wise leadership to qualify and empower youth as the engine of positive change and the cornerstone of achieving ambitious national goals.

According to DEWA, ​​the Authority’s human cadres include 2,920 young employees between the ages of 18 and 35 years, or 27.3% of the Authority’s employees, while the percentage of youth empowerment in the Authority in administrative positions reached 36.44%.

The Authority reported that, from October 2019 to the end of December 2024, the Authority’s Youth Council organized 74 events, 23 awareness lectures, six educational trips and field visits, and also participated in 10 international forums and conferences, and a group of Council members were assigned to four national and international programs during the year. 2023-2024.

Managing Director and CEO of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority, Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, said: “Based on the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, and his brother His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of… Dubai, may God protect him, we are keen to invest in our young cadres and empower young citizens to be the next generation of sustainability leaders.”

In turn, Aisha Mohammed Al Rumaithi, Chairman of the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority Youth Council, said: “The Youth Council enjoys the support of the senior management of the Authority to enhance its effective role and expand the scope of its work. The Council contributes to enhancing youth awareness, qualifying them, empowering their technical skills, and providing them with the necessary tools and skills.”
