Flick is proud of the “super amazing”… and Ancelotti is angry about the disastrous result

Barcelona’s Spanish football coach, Hansi Flick, expressed his pride in the club, the players and the fans, after leading the team to win the Spanish Super Cup.

Barcelona won the Spanish Super Cup after defeating their traditional rivals 5-2 in the final match held in Saudi Arabia, which hosted the tournament for the fifth time.

Flick said in his speech during the conference held after the match: “The team gave a wonderful performance that deserves praise, amid an amazing crowd atmosphere in the match stadium. We do not look at history, but rather focus on the present in order to develop ourselves and achieve successes for Barcelona.”

Regarding the details of the match, Flick said: “After Real Madrid’s first goal, we came back quickly, and the way we continued playing until the end was amazing. I loved how we defended as a group, especially after the expulsion. The players’ performance was wonderful and reflects the team spirit.”

He stressed: “The match showed that the two teams have great strength, but we played in a wonderful way, and we certainly have to learn from every match we play, and analyze these matches to improve our team. We have clear strengths, but we also realize that there are weak points that we need to work on.” .

For his part, Barcelona star and the best player in the match, Brazilian Rafinha, believes that his team well deserved the championship title, after the great effort made by the players, overcoming the difficult circumstances they faced in the match.

He added: “It is wonderful to start the new year by achieving a major title like the Super Cup. We were aware of the strength of the opponent, so we played very seriously until we achieved our goal and won the title.”

For his part, Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti expressed his extreme anger at the result of the match, and said in his speech at the press conference: “We did not perform as required, and I am upset about that. Barcelona deserved to win the title.”

The Real Madrid coach added: “We are angry about the result, but this is football. We have to look ahead and prepare for the next match as best as we can. We did not defend well, and this was clearly evident after we scored the first goal, unlike our opponent, who played in a collective manner.” He undoubtedly benefited from this advantage, which was not absent from the team’s performance, even after he was subjected to expulsion.”
