An earthquake with a magnitude of 5 Richter strikes the islands of Tonga in the South Pacific Ocean
An earthquake measuring 5 on the Richter scale struck today, Tuesday, east of the Tonga islands in the South Pacific Ocean.
The US Geological Survey reported that the epicenter of the earthquake occurred 177 kilometers west of Hihivo, at a depth of 324.4 kilometers below the Earth’s surface.
There have been no reports so far of human casualties or material damage as a result of the earthquake.
