"Islamic Affairs and Endowments" Participates in the Hajj Conference and Exhibition in Jeddah

JEDDAH, 14th January, 2020 (WAM) – His Excellency Dr. Omar Habtoor Al Darei, Chairman of the General Authority for Islamic Affairs, Endowments and Zakat, and a delegation from the Authority participated in the Hajj 2025 Conference and Exhibition, which began yesterday and continues until January 16th at the Superdome, Jeddah, and is organized by the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The event brings together representatives of pilgrims, diplomatic missions, an elite group of experts and academics, and leaders from the public and private sectors.
His Excellency Dr. Al-Darai said that the Authority’s participation in this event comes within the framework of strengthening cooperation between the General Authority for Islamic Affairs, Endowments and Zakat and the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah in the Kingdom, and supporting joint activities and efforts, based on the established relations between the peoples and leaderships of the two countries.
He explained that the event is a platform for discussing visions and suggestions, integrating ideas and benefiting from the recommendations issued by it, and an opportunity to learn about the latest technical programmes, innovations and smart solutions that improve the Hajj and Umrah system, and contribute to improving and sustaining the services provided to the guests of God, in addition to benefiting from experiences and discussing partnerships with various parties. Al-Darai stressed the Authority’s keenness and endeavor to keep pace with the cultural renaissance in all its fields, and to translate the directives of the wise leadership and the UAE government in harnessing digital technology and artificial intelligence, and to create an initiative that enhances the quality of its services provided to society and the country’s pilgrims with remarkable excellence, reflecting professionalism and sophistication of performance, which reflects know-how, knowledge and outlook. The participating delegation included, in addition to His Excellency the Chairman of the Authority, His Excellency Abdullah Khalifa Yaroof Al Saboosi, Head of the Department of Islamic Affairs in Sharjah, His Excellency Ahmed Rashid Al Neyadi, Director General of the General Authority for Islamic Affairs, Endowments and Zakat, and His Excellency Muhammad Musabah Ali, Executive Director of the Charitable Work Sector in the Department of Islamic Affairs and Labor. Al-Khairi in Dubai, in addition to the presence of His Excellency Nasser bin Huwaiden Al Ketbi, Consul General of the UAE in Jeddah.
