Mansour bin Mohammed honors the winners of the Professionalism and Security Excellence Award

His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Ports and Border Security Council, today, Tuesday, at the Dubai World Trade Center, honored the winners of the “Security Professionalism and Excellence Award” in its second edition, which aims to appreciate the achievements and contributions of security personnel in the private security sector.

The honoring ceremony was attended by expert Lieutenant General Rashid Thani Al Matroushi, Director General of Civil Defense in Dubai, Awad Hadher Al Muhairi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Security Industry Regulatory Agency, Khalifa Ibrahim Al Sulays, CEO of the institution, and a number of security leaders.

The honor included Adel Abdul Hadi, winner of Personality of the Year in the Elite category, which is an award given to security professionals who contribute to the development of the private security sector in the country. In the Efficiency category, Saif Al Mansouri, Security Director of Emaar Hospitality, Claire Benalay, Security Operations Manager from Five Luxe Hotel Dubai, and Engineer Shaima Basaeed, Security Systems Engineer at the Roads and Transport Authority in Dubai, were honoured. The award is given to security professionals with the best achievements in 2024.

In the Excellence category, which is given to the categories of security guard (male – female), surveillance camera guard, operating room operator, security supervisor, and security systems technician, the award was given to: Muhammad Amir Khan, Abdul Sattar Abdul Razzaq, Muhammad Fathi, Marian Panganiban, and Omar. Fathi, and Abeth Tirumeni.

The “Security Professionalism and Excellence Award” aims to enhance efforts made towards raising the level of security and preventive security protection systems. It highlights the honorable security role of deserving members of the concerned groups. It also contributes to educating institutions and companies in the private security sector about the level of security performance, and motivating them to develop the professional capabilities of security personnel by providing them with a systematic mechanism to evaluate their performance.

In its second edition, the award witnessed a noticeable increase in the number of applications submitted from inside and outside the country, which reflects the extent of interest from security sector professionals around the world, as the award is considered a unique addition to the career of any security professional.
