Transferring the African Hockey Club Championship to Ismailia

Hockey Federation officials, headed by Major General Ashraf Farhat, decided to move the African Club Championship to be held from January 30 to February 7 next in Ismailia instead of Port Said, for technical reasons related to the number of participating teams.

The African Championship for Men’s and Women’s Hockey Clubs is scheduled to be held at the Suez Canal Authority stadiums in Ismailia, with the participation of 20 teams, 10 teams. For men and 10 women’s teams.

 

For his part, Major General Ashraf Farahat, President of the Hockey Federation, said that the decision to move the tournament from Port Said to Ismailia came due to the large number of participating teams, which reached 20 teams. In men and women.

 

Farhat explained that the championship matches are scheduled to start at seven in the morning until the evening, which requires… The presence of more than one stadium with a great degree of readiness to accommodate all this number of competitions, which is available in the stadiums of the Suez Canal Authority.

 

Farhat added, that the Egyptian Federation He sent letters to the African Union and the participating clubs including the decision to move the tournament to Ismailia, as well as addressing the Suez Canal Authority in order to agree to support the tournament by reducing the value of renting stadiums, and hosting the federation’s various activities locally. And internationally.

 

The African Championship witnesses the participation of 7 Egyptian teams, which are:
