For his part, Major General Ashraf Farahat, President of the Hockey Federation, said that the decision to move the tournament from Port Said to Ismailia came due to the large number of participating teams, which reached 20 teams. In men and women.

Farhat added, that the Egyptian Federation He sent letters to the African Union and the participating clubs including the decision to move the tournament to Ismailia, as well as addressing the Suez Canal Authority in order to agree to support the tournament by reducing the value of renting stadiums, and hosting the federation’s various activities locally.
