“Seeking proximity.” Daoud Hussein and Hassan Al-Balam in Abu Dhabi

The story of the play “Seeking Closeness” revolves around a young man and a young woman, whose love relationship culminates in marriage, but family problems haunt them and stand in front of them, and they try to overcome them. Al-Balam had moved, during the past months, to reside in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, after contracting with the Entertainment Authority to launch a theatrical artistic project, under the title “Comedy Factory,” which aims to support and develop young talents in the fields of writing and acting in Saudi Arabia. Al-Balam called on fans of comedy and theater to join this initiative, saying: “Theater needs artists who have ambition and talent. If you have talent and are looking for support, theater is calling you.”
