Shabab Al-Ahly coach: Details decide the Challenge Shield with Al-Rayyan tomorrow

Doha, January 15 / WAM / Portuguese Paulo Sousa, coach of the Shabab Al-Ahly football team, stressed the importance of his team competing in the final of the “Challenge Shield” tournament, within the UAE-Qatari Super Cup, against Al-Rayyan of Qatar, in the match that will be held tomorrow at Ahmed Bin Ali Stadium in Doha.
Sousa said, during the introductory press conference held today at Al Rayyan Club, that it is the small details that decide such finals, adding: “We need to be highly focused, work hard, and give our best to achieve victory, as every team will fight to be crowned with this important title.” .
Shabab Al-Ahly holds the “Emirati-Qatari” Super Shield title in the last edition of the tournament, which was held for two titles, before expanding to 4 titles in the new edition.
He added: “We have an enthusiastic team with a strong desire to achieve this title. We are awaiting the match with caution and focus, and we seek to present a strong level that reflects our development at this stage.”
He pointed to the capabilities of the Al Rayyan team, explaining that it includes distinguished players, and that the confrontation at home will be difficult.
Saeed Ezzat, Shabab Al-Ahly player, affirmed his respect for the capabilities of Al Rayyan team, noting that the goal always for Shabab Al-Ahly is to compete for all titles.
He said: “We know how strong Al Rayyan is, but our focus is on providing a distinguished performance and achieving victory.
Portuguese Arto Jorge, coach of Al Rayyan, considered that the match constituted a major challenge for his team at the beginning of his career with the club, and he said: “This decisive confrontation cannot tolerate mistakes, especially since it is against a strong team like Shabab Al Ahly.
