Experts stress the importance of developing innovative solutions for public transportation in future cities
DUBAI, 16 JANUARY / WAM / An elite group of experts participating in the session “Sustainable Cities between the Economy and the Environment”, which was held within the activities of the closing day of the Dubai International Forum for Project Management in its tenth session, stressed the importance of developing innovative and effective solutions in the field of public transport, as it is the basic pillar. To move around in the cities of the future, they pointed out that these solutions contribute to enhancing the quality of life and reducing the environmental impacts resulting from reliance on private vehicles.
Experts explained that the responsibility for implementing these solutions is divided between government legislation and regulatory procedures, in addition to the societal responsibility of individuals who must adopt the use of public transportation on a daily basis.
The session was attended by Abdul Mohsen Ibrahim Kalbat, Executive Director of the Rail Agency at the Roads and Transport Authority in Dubai, Timothy Papandreou, a global expert in the field of mobility and emerging technologies, and Frank Wolters, General Manager of Tegel Project GmbH in Berlin. It was moderated by international journalist Nathalie Lindo. .
In a keynote speech within the forum, Afzal Aziz, CEO of Conspiracy Of Love, which specializes in achieving goals, emphasized the necessity of providing practical and personal tools to achieve goals, pointing out that successful institutions must contribute to empowering their employees and discovering and developing their creative potential. He said that the UAE, Dubai, especially Dubai, represents an inspiring example of how to set firm goals and the leadership’s commitment to them to achieve an ambitious future vision.
