The UAE participates in the International Mining Conference in Riyadh
RIYADH, 17 JANUARY / WAM / His Excellency Eng. Saif Ghobash, Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure for Petroleum, Gas and Mineral Resources Affairs, representing His Excellency Suhail bin Mohammed Faraj Faris Al Mazrouei, Minister of Energy and Infrastructure, participated in the International Mining Conference, which was held in Riyadh during the period from 14 Until January 16, 2025.
During the conference, His Excellency participated in the round table meeting of ministers concerned with mining affairs, where he discussed with his counterparts from various countries ways to enhance international cooperation in the mining sector, and exchange experiences and modern technologies in the field of mineral exploration and development.
He also participated in the opening of the exhibition accompanying the conference, and was briefed on the latest innovations and technologies in the field of mining, which reflects the Ministry’s commitment to adopting the best practices and technologies to enhance the mining sector in the country.
On the sidelines of the conference, His Excellency met with His Excellency Dr. Muhammad Fawz Al-Kabir, Minister of Electricity, Energy and Mineral Resources of Bangladesh, as well as His Excellency Kimberly Harrington, Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Energy Diplomacy in the United States, and they discussed ways to enhance joint cooperation in the fields of energy and mining, stressing the importance of the strategic partnership to achieve development. Sustainable.
These participations come within the framework of the Ministry’s efforts to strengthen international relations and exchange experiences in the mining sector, which contributes to achieving sustainable development and developing this vital sector.
