Sharjah, January 19 / WAM / The Sharjah Electricity, Water and Gas Authority is implementing a number of projects to improve and develop water transmission and distribution networks in the city of Kalba at a cost amounting to 107,435 million dirhams, with the aim of keeping pace with the increasing demand for water to meet the needs of various development projects in the city, as part of the authority’s efforts to improve… And developing water transmission and distribution networks in all regions of the Emirate of Sharjah.
Engineer Yousef Al Hammadi, Director of the Kalba Department at the Sharjah Electricity, Water and Gas Authority, said that the implementation of these projects comes within the framework of the directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, and His Highness’s keenness to provide infrastructure requirements in various regions and His Highness’s support and sponsorship for economic projects. He pointed out that these projects include extending the water network in the New Kalba Industrial Estate at a cost of 5 million dirhams, as the first phase of the project will be completed during this month, with the second phase starting after the area is prepared by the strategic partners, “the Department of Planning and Survey and the Municipality of Kalba.” To extend services therein at an amount of 3 million, 665 thousand and 111 dirhams, they also pointed out the completion of a project to extend a main water line from the industrial zone to the Buhaira neighborhood area for 5 million dirhams, while work is underway to extend A main water line for the Wadi Al-Helou area, in addition to a new pumping station at a cost of 43 million and 769 thousand and 621 dirhams. The project is expected to be completed during this January. Work is also underway to extend a water line to the Jabal Al-Dim project and new pumping and lifting stations at a cost of up to 50 million dirhams, and it is planned for completion. of the project through December 2025
He stressed that the authority applies the best technical specifications in water extensions and uses the latest pipes for water networks, pointing out that water transmission and distribution projects in the city of Kalba have witnessed development in all areas of the city to keep pace with the great economic, industrial and cultural boom it is witnessing thanks to the follow-up and directives of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah.
