Launching an initiative to classify and certify reliable companies in the field of artificial intelligence in Dubai

DUBAI, 20 JANUARY / WAM / In implementation of the directives of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Dubai Future Foundation, the Dubai Center for the Uses of Artificial Intelligence announced today the launch of a new initiative to classify and accredit Trusted companies in the field of artificial intelligence in Dubai, which contributes to providing a comprehensive framework that enhances opportunities for partnerships between government agencies and technology companies specialized in developing and providing artificial intelligence applications in Dubai, the UAE and various countries of the world.
This initiative includes a system for classifying and accrediting private companies working in various artificial intelligence specializations, so that government and private agencies can access the services of these trusted companies in a safe and effective manner, which also contributes to reducing costs and procedures, in line with the objectives of the “Dubai Annual Plan to Accelerate the Adoption of Uses and Applications of Artificial Intelligence.”
This “Dubai AI Seal” initiative, the first of its kind, aims to establish a network of reliable companies specialized in developing advanced technology services in Dubai, which will contribute to providing safe options for government agencies and private institutions to deal with to implement their projects and initiatives based on artificial intelligence applications.
Participating companies will receive the “Dubai AI Seal” accreditation badge with a serial number and their own main classification, which will be required in the coming period to be selected to work in national and technological projects in Dubai. These companies can use the accreditation badge on all their digital platforms and promotional campaigns.
The initiative also provides the opportunity to apply for free to all technology companies that have a license to do business in Dubai and provide services and products related to artificial intelligence or use its applications in their services.
His Excellency Khalfan Juma Belhoul, CEO of the Dubai Future Foundation, which supervises the Dubai Center for the Uses of Artificial Intelligence, confirmed that applications for participation will be evaluated and verified to be classified into six main classifications based on the quality of its activities and services, the number of its employees specialized in artificial intelligence, and its current and future projects. And the quality of its partners from the government and private sectors.
He added that this initiative will form a gateway to more influential partnerships between the government and private sectors at the local, regional and global levels, which will contribute to providing new economic opportunities that benefit from the growth of the artificial intelligence sector and employ its applications to serve the economy and society and design the future that we aspire to in Dubai and the world.
