Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation announces the results of the winners of its educational awards

Dubai, January 21 / WAM / The Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation for Medical and Educational Sciences announced the results of the International Award for Applied Research in the field of gifted care for the year 2024, in which Jae Yip Yang and Jeon Lee from Australia won, and the educational awards at the local level, which won. 42 won in the categories of Outstanding Student, Outstanding Teacher, Outstanding School, Outstanding Educationalist, and Institutions Supporting Education.
His Excellency Humaid Al Qatami, Chairman of the Foundation’s Board of Trustees, said that the distinguished contributions of members of the educational system, including students, teachers, educators, schools, and institutions that support education, reflected exceptional levels of outstanding effort and an ambitious desire to ascend to the podiums, noting that the honor witnesses a new battalion of 42 winners in Local awards, from those who worked hard, persevered, and demonstrated an exemplary model of insistence on excellence Striving towards educational excellence.
He thanked Sheikh Rashid bin Hamdan Al Maktoum, Supreme Chairman of the Foundation, for his continuous support, and the Foundation’s Board of Trustees and Executive Management for their efforts, praising the keenness of the jury members and the accuracy of their performance, as well as the role of the partners who contributed to the success of the tournament, congratulating all the winners on their achievements.
194 participants from various emirates of the country competed at the local level in six categories, and the number of winners this year reached 42, who achieved remarkable achievements worthy of appreciation. In the category of institutions supporting education, the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives Foundation won the award for the “Electronic School Platform” project. While the Abu Dhabi Civil Defense Authority won for its innovative educational project to support educational institutions, while in the Outstanding School category, Umm Ghafa Secondary School in Al Ain and GEMS Millennium School in Sharjah excelled.
In the Distinguished Educational category, Samah Muhammad Ali Al Dhahli from the Emirates Foundation for School Education won, along with Maryam Hussein Al Loughani from Al Hijra School, in addition to Sheikha Salem Al Hafiti from Zayed Educational Complex Al Bidiya and Hoda Saeed Al Dhahouri from Moaz Bin Jabal School for Boys.
As for the Distinguished Teacher category, the award went to Hanan Mahmoud Musa Bawadi from Emirates National Schools, and Wafa Eid Shehada Abu Qadiri from Al-Ibdaa School for Basic Education. In the Distinguished University Student category, Mira Abdullah Ahmed Al-Harmoudi from the University of Sharjah won in the academic field, and Khaled Abdel Fattah won. Ahmed Qazli from the United Arab Emirates University and Hamid Abdullah Ali Al Bastaki from Khalifa University in the non-academic field.
At the international level, the Foundation announced the results of the International Center for the Gifted and Gifted Awards, which included the International Award for Applied Research and the International Award for School Initiatives. 9 papers from 9 countries participated in the International Award for Applied Research, and one paper from Australia was chosen to win, and it is entitled “Teachers’ Attitudes towards… Gifted Students and Their Education: Patterns of Attitudes and Their Determinants,” prepared by researchers Ji-Yip Jung and Jihoon Lee.
As for the International Award for School Initiatives, it witnessed the participation of two initiatives from Saudi Arabia and India.
It is noteworthy that the awards aim to support ongoing efforts to create a better educational environment for gifted people around the world and to benefit from global experiences and best practices in this field and disseminate them. The judging process for these awards is carried out by an international jury that includes international experts in these fields.
