The number of victims of the Polo Hotel fire in Turkey has risen to 66 deaths
The death toll from a hotel fire at a ski resort in Türkiye has risen to 66.
Officials said that a fire broke out in a hotel in a ski resort in northwestern Türkiye, killing dozens.
Turkish Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya said, through his official account on the “X” platform, that the fire broke out at 3:27 a.m. in the hotel located in the Kartalkaya ski resort.
Bolu State Governor Abdulaziz Aydin explained that two victims were killed after jumping from the building in a state of panic, pointing out that the hotel was inhabited by about 234 guests, and that 30 fire trucks and 28 ambulances were sent to the site.

Condolences from the Kingdom’s embassy
The Embassy of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the Republic of Turkey expressed its sincere condolences to the Republic of Turkey on the death of some people as a result of a fire that broke out in a building in the city of Bolu.
The embassy expressed its solidarity with the Republic of Turkey and its brotherly people regarding this painful incident, and wished a speedy recovery for the injured.
