On Wednesday, the General Assembly of the Israeli Knesset dropped a draft law to form an official investigation committee into the failures of October 7 and the war on Gaza and Lebanon, which was presented by the “National Camp” bloc. The bill was opposed by 53 Knesset members from the coalition, including Knesset members from the “Otzma Yehudit” party, and 45 Knesset members supported it. Israeli Minister Gila Gamliel said, in her response to the draft law on behalf of the government, that “an official investigation committee must be subject to the consensus of most of this people, and this will not be achieved. Therefore, such a committee has not been formed, and there will be neither a coalition majority nor a majority in the opposition in support of its formation.” .
