Al-Nasr and Taarabt’s relationship ends “officially”

The Board of Directors of Al-Nasr Football Company terminated the contract of the Moroccan star and team captain, Adel Taarabt, after two and a half seasons with the team.
Al-Nasr Club confirmed in an official statement: “It has been agreed between Al-Nasr Football Company and the player Adel Taarabt to terminate the employment contract concluded between them by mutual consent. Al-Nasr Club extends its sincere thanks to the player for the period of his work at the club, wishing him all the best and success in his football career.”
Taarabt played 11 matches with Al-Nasr this season, during which he scored seven goals and made three assists, and was one of the team’s most important players. Taarabt had stopped training with the team three days ago and did not attend Al-Nasr’s match with Al-Ain, the day before yesterday, which ended with Al-Ameed losing 1-4 in the 13th round of the league, which sparked widespread controversy about the existence of a crisis between the player and the club.
Taarabt published his first statement following the decision to terminate his contract, and said through his account on “Instagram”: “I extend my sincere thanks and appreciation to the management of Al-Nasr Club, to my fellow players, to the technical and administrative staff, and to all the workers in the large Al-Nasr family for the support and encouragement that I received during the last period.” He added: “The stubborn Blue fans… I was happy and honored to represent the dean of Emirati football during two and a half seasons, during which I, as a team captain, tried to do my best.” I will do my best to make you happy and achieve your aspirations and hopes. I am very grateful for your love, support and encouragement for me. I will carry within me all those beautiful memories with you… With you and with you, victory will return to the platforms again.”
