“Citizen Mohammed Al Hosani…a farmer distinguished by the ‘best organic farm’

The academic distinction that citizen Mohammed Ahmed Al Hosani achieved by obtaining a master’s degree in international law from the Sorbonne University in Abu Dhabi did not prevent him from being, in addition, an innovative pioneer farmer in this field, believing in the ability of will and patience to create the impossible. In the Al-Heer area, which is about 45 kilometers from the city of Al Ain in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, and on an area of about 33 thousand square meters, Al Hosani established his organic farm, which in a few years was able to reserve its place among the leading organic farms, and today it embraces more than 60 types of… Local plants and flowers, and more than 10,000 seedlings, are located next to fields of wheat that is grown using modern methods with drip irrigation to preserve water resources.
The Most Beautiful Winter in the World campaign, in its fifth edition, which was launched under the slogan “Green Tourism”, in cooperation between the Ministry of Economy, the National Agricultural Center, and local tourism authorities in the country, pays great attention to highlighting the successful sustainable agricultural experiences adopted and built upon by the people of the Emirates, with the aim of stimulating Sustainable tourist visits, within the framework of the domestic tourism strategy in the UAE launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, “may God protect him”, which aims to develop a tourism system. Fragrant flowers
Muhammad Al Hosani’s organic farm contains many types of beautiful flowers, such as lavender, chrysanthemums, safflowers, and anemones. The area in which it is grown is full of fertile soil, which produces potatoes, wheat, saffron, sunflowers, and other types of vegetables. He also works on propagating and distributing some local plants, such as ghaf, sidr, samar, and Najdi acacia. And the Arak earring, stressing the importance of preserving this natural heritage.
The farm is divided into: the wheat section, the palm section, the cosmos section, the chrysanthemum section, the desert wild plants, the clover and fodder section, the “fish mouth” flowers, the rose section, the vegetable section, the potato and strawberry section, and others.
The farm produces more than 55 types of roses, with a focus on cut flowers with a sticky note. He also imported seedlings from countries known for these international varieties, and not only does he plant and propagate local plants, but he works to place explanatory numbers on each plant so that its name can be identified. Scientific, so nature lovers can enjoy educational and entertaining experiences at the same time.
As for wheat cultivation, he succeeded in securing water for it through drip irrigation, and he also relied on organic fertilization only, which achieved abundant, high-quality production compared to the cultivated area, and at a very low economic cost.
