In a related context, the Syrian singer released a new song a few days ago entitled “Forbidden,” lyrics and melodies by Ghalia Shaker, and Asala said at the time via Instagram: : "In celebration of the Joy Award, which, frankly, I have been waiting for and wishing for, and it has many meanings to me, all of them sweet, I loved it as much as you gave me this precious award. I present to you the most precious thing I have (my voice), with a song in which I created for you a new character in which I ventured to perform a performance that you had become accustomed to, and because it was the song that inspired me to perform, and I went with it on a childhood journey, and I want you to be with me on this journey and to live together these good feelings, and to hold on to them. Perhaps we will return to being young children, if only... “The song I loved so much has been so old and I hope you love it as much as I do.”
