Archive and the National Library participate in the Cairo International Book Fair 2025
Abu Dhabi, January 24 / WAM / The archive and the National Library participated in the Cairo International Book Fair in its 56th edition, by presenting the most important developments in his journey as it works to enrich knowledge societies, and to upgrade its services as an institution for documentation and archiving and a cultural edifice that has its publications that document the history and heritage of the UAE and the Gulf region Al -Arabi, in addition to a large number of cultural events in which a group of senior writers and intellectuals participate.
His Excellency Dr. Ahmed Fouad Hanu, the Egyptian Minister of Culture, visited the archive and the national library, where he was received by His Excellency the writer Mohamed Ahmed Al -Murr, Vice -Chairman of the Archives and the National Library, and His Excellency Abdullah Majid Al Ali, the general manager, and presented to His Excellency the book “Zayed is a journey in Pictures and “Umm Kulthum” book in Abu Dhabi “, and he listened to a brief definition of the book” Zayed is a journey in Tire “, which contains more than 600 rare pictures that highlight prominent stations from the life of Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, starting from assuming power in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi Until its founding the United Arab Emirates.
His Excellency Abdullah Majid Al Ali, Director General of Archive and the National Library, said that the presence of the archive and the National Library annually at the Cairo Book Fair is important, as the exhibition represents a global cultural forum and a forum for civilization and intellectual communication.
He added that this participation paves the way for enhancing cultural relations and cognitive exchange with the Egyptian cultural and archive institutions whose tasks and goals are similar to the tasks of the archive and the national library and its goals, especially since the archive and the national library are no longer just an incubator for historical documents and a guard on the memory of the country, but has become his position among the makers of culture.
His Excellency pointed out that the participation of the archive and the National Library at the Cairo Book Fair 2025 is characterized by a busy program that includes a number of cultural and professional seminars and meetings and specialized workshops, and events and activities related to his interests.
He pointed out that the archive and national library platform displays historical documents and documentary films that confirm the depth of relations between the two brotherly countries, the United Arab Emirates and the Arab Republic of Egypt, while reflecting the archive strategy and the national library for the period extending until 2032 and its interest in preserving the documentary heritage, and determining future trends in various fields.
