المملكة: In pictures: More than 20 pavilions at the “Shatana Reef” event in Taif

The activities of the “Shatana Rural” initiative, organized by the Sustainable Agricultural Rural Development Program “Rural Saudi Arabia”, were launched in Taif Governorate, at the Mishal Al-Sufyani farm located in the Al-Shifa Tourist Center.
Over the course of four days, the event highlights the most prominent agricultural and cultural elements that the Al-Shifa Tourist Center has, and provides a rich experience that allows visitors to explore the character of authentic rural life in a pleasant winter atmosphere.

“Chantana Rural” initiative in Taif

The event includes more than 20 pavilions in which program beneficiaries display their many and varied products, including Taif roses, aromatic plants, and natural honey.
It also displays Taif coffee products, value-added products, and other products, in addition to corners dedicated to handicrafts and local projects.

The event includes interactive activities that allow visitors to have a practical experience, such as picking crops and learning about traditional farming methods, in addition to presenting the region’s famous popular dishes, which gives the event an authentic character that reflects Taif’s cultural and agricultural identity.

A unique experience that combines heritage and nature

The “Rural Saudi Arabia” program urged everyone to visit the event and enjoy a unique experience that combines heritage, nature, and recreational activities, stressing that the initiative represents a unique opportunity to communicate with rural communities and explore their diverse capabilities.

Assistant Secretary-General for Media and Communication of the “Saudi Rural” program, Majed Al-Braikan, confirmed that the event embodies the program’s efforts to promote rural tourism as one of the tributaries of sustainable economic development.
He pointed out that this initiative comes within a series of activities aimed at exploring the agricultural and tourism potential in various regions of the Kingdom.
He stated that the initiative aims to highlight the authentic agricultural products that distinguish Taif Governorate, and to empower farmers and productive families and market their products.
