The launch of the first UAE National Mixed Martial Arts Championship

Abu Dhabi, January 25 / WAM / The first day of the first edition of the UAE National Mixed Martial Arts Championship, organized by the UAE Jiu-Jitsu and Mixed Martial Arts Federation, kicked off today at the Mubadala Arena in Abu Dhabi, with the participation of a wide range of emerging talents representing various clubs and academies across the country.
The first day witnessed strong fights for the categories of Junior D (10-11 years), Junior C (12-13 years), and Junior B (14-15 years). The youngsters excelled in displaying their skills and artistic abilities.

His Excellency Mohammed Humaid bin Dalmuj Al Dhaheri, Member of the Board of Directors of the UAE Jiu-Jitsu and Mixed Martial Arts Federation, said: “Launching this tournament for the first time and providing the opportunity for all categories to participate reflects the federation’s keenness and endeavors to enhance the growth and development of the sport of mixed martial arts.

The tournament will witness the participation of the D-Cubs category for the first time, which embodies the Federation’s efforts to uncover and refine talents at an early stage in their careers and prepare them to represent the country in international forums.”
Al Dhaheri praised the great demand from club and academie players to participate, as well as the distinguished interaction and continuous encouragement from the fans, which consolidates the status of this sport and constitutes an impetus for the players’ excellence and sustainable development.
Hasna Jaber, a coach at the ADMA Academy, said that this tournament constitutes a unique platform that gives players the opportunity to test their abilities, fight fights, and get used to the atmosphere of professional tournaments, in light of this distinguished organization that we see today.
Marwa Abdel Moneim, the mother of the player Abdel Hamid Daghino, the Sharjah Self-Defense Sports Club player who won the gold in the Junior D category, said that her son, the player, is passionate about achieving advanced positions, while Yasser Greish, the father of the player Ammar from the Dento Dojo Club in Al Ain, and the winner of the Junior C gold, said: Ammar is He has been practicing mixed martial arts for 3 years, and we are here today to support and encourage him.
The tournament will conclude its activities tomorrow, Sunday, with competitions in the adult categories over 18 years old and the youth category (A) between the ages of 16 and 17 years.
