The British Health Security Agency announced on Monday that a rare human injury has been recorded with bird flu in England.
“The transmission of bird influenza from birds to human to humans is rare and only has limited times in the UK,” UKHSA (UKHSA) said in a statement.
The statement stated that the person who did not specify his gender was infected at a farm in central England, where he was “lengthy in a large number of infected birds.”
His condition is described as “good” while he is treated in the unit of infectious diseases, and according to the agency, “the danger to people is very small”, stressing that it has not been “proven” the transmission of the virus between humans.
