Abu Dhabi, among 7 global cities that host activities "Spring festival"
Abu Dhabi, January 28/ WAM/ The mother of the Emirates Park in Abu Dhabi hosted the day before yesterday a major cultural event to celebrate the new Chinese New Year, “The Snake Year”, which was organized by the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China to the country in cooperation with the China Media Group, within the celebrations of the capital Abu Dhabi with this global event.
This event is part of the program of promotional activities for the Spring Festival organized by the China Group of Media for the Chinese New Year, where the capital Abu Dhabi was chosen within seven international cities to host the celebrations, in a move that reflects the depth of bilateral relations and cultural exchange between the UAE and China, especially after forty years. On the anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
His Excellency Dr. Jamal Mohamed Obaid Al -Kaabi, Director General of the National Media Office, confirmed in a statement to the Emirates News Agency “WAM” that the Chinese New Year’s celebration hosted by Abu Dhabi reflects the common human values between cultures, noting that this event represents an opportunity to enhance cultural dialogue and highlight the common denominators between peoples the world.
His Excellency added that the Emirati -Chinese relations represent a unique model of strategic cooperation, which extends to the cultural and social aspects, within the framework of the rational leadership’s keenness to enhance cultural ties and global openness.
For his part, His Excellency Hi Chiong, President of the China Media Group, said that Spring Festival is one of the most important traditional occasions in Chinese culture, as it embodies the meanings of national unity and social harmony.
He explained that the China Media Group seeks, through its activities, to present distinguished offers that reflect the aesthetics of Chinese culture, and reach the international audience in 82 languages, so that these celebrations are a bridge of cultural communication between peoples.
In his speech, His Excellency Zhang Yi Ming, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China in the country, expressed his happiness at organizing this event in Abu Dhabi, praising its role as a global center for tolerance and cultural coexistence.
His Excellency pointed out that the celebrations of this year are of special importance, as they are the first after the inclusion of the Chinese lunar year in the list of unimaginable cultural heritage of UNESCO, pointing out that these activities allow about 400 thousand Chinese residents in the UAE an opportunity to feel the warmth of the country, as it is a window to introduce Emiratis And residents of the aspects of Chinese culture.
