The European Union adds three individuals to the sanctions list due to electronic attacks against Estonia

The European Council adopted today additional restrictions against three Russian individuals for claiming responsibility for a series of electronic attacks carried out against the Republic of Estonia in 2020.
stated in a press release published by the European Union’s external action department, via Its official location, that the individuals included in the list are officers from the 29155 unit of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. Government, including economic affairs, communications, social affairs and foreign affairs, led to the theft of thousands of secret documents. The unit also holds 29155 responsible for the implementation of electronic attacks against other member states of the European Union and its partners, especially Ukraine. On the individual and 4 entities, according to it, the freezing of assets and the travel ban on people and entities is imposed for the European Union or the provision of money for those listed .. according to the statement.
