“Artificial Memories” to improve the lives of Alzheimer’s patients

The Emirates Health Services Corporation launched a strategic partnership with the Mohammed Bin Rashid Center for Government Innovation, to develop and implement the “Artificial Memories” project, aimed at improving the quality of the life of Alzheimer’s patients and poor memory, by taking advantage of innovative technological solutions, which were revealed for the time

The “Artificial Memories” project depends on creating digital models for personal memories using obstetric artificial intelligence, and this technology works to reshape the lost memories and design realistic photos and videos, restores the patients to experience moments that they lived in their lives, and took fading over time, as this innovation mixes between solutions Artificial intelligence and psychology, to enhance the quality of the life of psychiatric patients, by recovering memories of special value for them.
The assistant minister of cabinet Affairs for Strategy Affairs, Hoda Al -Hashemi, stressed that the rational leadership believes in the importance of developing responsible artificial intelligence, employing its innovative solutions, and its transformational capabilities in the vital sectors all related to the quality of the life of society, and focuses on encouraging technological innovation, based on its high awareness of the pivotal technology role In forming future paths.
Al -Hashemi said that the strategic partnership between the Mohammed Bin Rashid Center for Government Innovation and the Emirates Health Services Corporation, to employ artificial intelligence in improving the lives of Alzheimer’s patients, reflects the center’s commitment to translate the government’s directions to develop and support innovative projects aimed at expanding the areas of applications and solutions enhanced by technology and artificial intelligence, to include vital sectors Such as health, education, economy and society.
For his part, the Director General of the Foundation, Dr. Youssef Mohamed Al -Serkal, stressed the keenness to employ technology in providing effective solutions to health challenges, pointing out that this “represents a qualitative shift in human technological innovation.”
He explained that the project is not limited to being a technical innovation, but rather aims to enhance the quality of the life of the elderly, by enabling patients to recover their missing memories in an interactive and realistic way, which contributes to improving their daily lives, and enhancing their sense of psychological stability.
The project team works in cooperation with researchers and experts at Al -Amal Mental Health Hospital to develop this technology in accordance with the local context of the UAE, and to study the effectiveness of its clinical application to the quality of the life of patients from the elderly, to ensure that the best results are reached.
The “Artificial Memories” project comes within 19 innovative projects presented by the Emirates Health Services Foundation as part of its participation as an exclusive partner for health services in the 50th edition of the Arab Health Exhibition and Conference 2025.
It is noteworthy that the strategic partnership with the Emirates Health Services Corporation comes within the efforts of the Mohammed Bin Rashid Center for Government Innovation to support and launch advanced business models, enabling government agencies to test ideas continuously, and develop them in a way that ensures achieving results with a clear and concrete impact, which can be applied at the level of the UAE to keep pace with Governmental visions and community aspirations, which contributes to the development and application of transformational innovations, and the enhancement of social and social integration aimed at improving the quality of the life of individuals and society, in a way that establishes the leadership of the UAE as a global model for the progress and prosperity of societies.
