The UAE welcomes the US-Iranian talks in the Sultanate of Oman

The UAE welcomed the announcement of holding talks between the United States of America and the Islamic Republic of Iran in the Sultanate of Oman, stressing that this positive step reflects the efforts made to support dialogue and de-escalation paths.

In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed its appreciation for the efforts made by the sisterly Sultanate of Oman to create appropriate conditions for dialogue, praising the Sultanate for hosting these talks in a step that reflects the constructive role it plays in supporting paths of understanding and dialogue at the regional and international levels, and enhancing security and stability in the region.

The UAE reaffirmed its belief that enhancing dialogue, reducing escalation, adhering to international laws, and respecting the sovereignty of states represent the ideal foundations for addressing the current crises, stressing its consistent approach based on resolving disputes through diplomatic means.

The state expressed its aspiration that these consultations would yield positive results that would contribute to strengthening the truce and consolidating the foundations of security and stability in the region, thus contributing to supporting regional and international peace.
