China’s foreign exchange reserves rose to $3.3991 trillion in January

BEIJING, FEBRUARY 8, WAM/ China’s total foreign exchange reserves at the end of last January amounted to $3.3991 trillion, an increase of $41.2 billion, or 1.23%, compared to the end of December last year.
The National Foreign Exchange Authority of China indicated that the US dollar index fell last January, while the prices of major global financial assets rose in general, affected by financial and monetary policies, and market expectations in major economies.
She explained that the combined effects of exchange rate fluctuations and asset price changes contributed to the increase in foreign exchange reserves in China during the past month.
