6 people were injured as a result of an explosion at the Rainytal ammunition factory in Spain

Six people were injured in an explosion in an ammunition factory owned by a subsidiary of Renmate, German weapons manufacturer in southeast Spain.

The explosion occurred in a repository of ammunition belonging to the company “Renmate Expall” for ammunition in the Khafali Fakho area in the Morathia area, according to Spanish emergency services, on Thursday.

One of the victims was seriously injured, and the company has not issued a statement yet, and it was not immediately clear the cause of the explosion.

The Spanish News Agency “Europa Press”, quoting the authorities, said that the injured men, between the ages of 30 and 52, were injured in the head, burns, and inhalation of smoke, and five of them were taken to the hospital for treatment.

Forest fire broke out

The explosion also caused a forest fire in the industrial area, which spanned two thousand square meters before it was extinguished.

According to the German weapons company, “Renmate Express” ammunition is “a world -famous company in the manufacture of ammunition and weapons” and specialized in artillery ammunition, mortar shells, medium -caliber ammunition, as well as lightning and missiles.

The entirely owned by Renmate is running seven facilities in Spain and the United States, and provides more than 60 countries.
