The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research affirmed its success in shortening the time of registration of students in universities and academic missions to 90 seconds, after the application of the updated version of the admission system that constitutes a digital services interface aimed at upgrading the journey of providing and accepting citizens of citizens to join the higher education institutions included in the unified registration system, tightly For its continued expansion of the horizons of higher education in the Emirates to enable students to achieve their future aspirations.

The Ministry announced on its official accounts on social media that six new educational institutions joined the service of registration request in higher education and external scholarship institutions, bringing the total number to 37 educational institutions, in addition to the external missions programs provided by the Ministry, noting that the maximum selection is determined in the request Registration with three educational institutions.

She stressed that the system of submission and admission in universities represents in its new version a qualitative shift towards improving its services, as the system was designed based on the needs of students wishing to continue their collection in higher education institutions.

The improvements contributed to reducing the number of documents and fields required for application, which resulted in the reducing the application period to a minute and a half.

The Ministry pointed to the development of mechanisms to link the various electronic systems of the entities in order to feed the application and acceptance system with the data required to complete the requests, which reduces the data that is entered manually, in addition to unifying the entry interface for the systems, pointing out that the improvements included collecting the required data by relying on the data available to the authorities Government, to reduce human intervention and reduce the data that students must enter, which contributes to creating an integrated and simple user experience and completing applications for application easily and conveniently.

The Minister of Human Resources and Emiratisation, and the Acting Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Abdul Rahman Al -Awar, during his review of the progress made in the institutional and operational transformation of the Ministry within the new structure, stressed that the improvements and rapid gains launched by the Ministry of Higher Education and Research included the launch of 16 projects centered on three basic axes, including include Enabling universities, supporting students, in addition to developing policies and procedures related to higher education, which contribute to enhancing the student’s journey from school to university, and his academic and professional paths.

Al -Awar indicated that the ministry has redesigned a student’s enrollment journey in higher education in partnership with the Ministry of Education and a number of local and federal authorities and the private sector, with the aim of opening the door for registration in the unified admission system in the stages of education even before the end of the secondary stage, which will enhance the role of educational institutions and schools in support The student in making appropriate decisions, and contributes to giving every citizen an opportunity in higher education according to the expectations and desire of the labor market.

The Minister of Human Resources and Emiratisation and the Acting Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Abdul Rahman Al -Awar, stressed that higher education institutions should adopt a flexible approach to keeping pace with the changes, despite the importance of the academic certificate as a basic framework, it is necessary to merge educational fields other than scientific disciplines, which paves the way towards promoting Continuing learning, in addition to that there should also be a permanent interdependence between the labor market and higher education institutions by align the curricula with the changing market needs, and promoting practical and technical skills for students, to ensure their readiness for future challenges.
