Spanish economy growth expectations

He added: This leads us to update the total economic framework of the government, “while the latest results indicated the growth of GDP, which amounted to 3.2 percent in the year 2024.
This is thanks to the increase in exports and consumption, in addition to the strength of the prosperous tourism sector, according to a preliminary estimate issued by the National Institute of Statistics on Wednesday.
This number exceeds expectations, and the Bank of Spain, which expected to grow by 3.1 percent, and exceeds the average in the euro area of +0.8 percent.
“The pleasant surprise was very clear. Add to that it comes in a very complex context, as Spain grows while our main partners witness slowdown or stagnation.”
