Greece closes schools in Santorini after recording 200 earthquakes

The Greek Ministry of Civil Protection announced the closure of schools on the famous Greek tourist island of Santorini, due to heavy seismic activity in the region.
Two hundred low -strength earthquakes have been registered with 4.5 degrees, according to two scientific committees that monitored seismic activities, they met again on Sunday.

The authorities confirmed that the earthquakes are not caused by a volcanic activity, but rather a tectonic activity.
The authorities asked the locals to avoid large gatherings in closed places, stay away from some Santorini ports and abandoned buildings, and unloading swimming pools from water.
