المملكة: The Foreign Minister and his Japanese counterpart head the second meeting of strategic dialogue

His Highness Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, Minister of Foreign Affairs, and His Excellency the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Japan, Mr. Iyaya Takishi, in the Japanese capital, Tokyo, today, Monday, the second meeting of strategic dialogue at the level of the foreign ministers of the two countries.

Support common interests

At the beginning of the meeting, His Highness the Minister of Foreign Affairs delivered a speech in which he confirmed that the passage of 70 years of diplomatic relations between the Kingdom and Japan is a testament to the continuous partnership and common values, and His Highness also expressed optimism about the steps taken to raise the level of bilateral relations between the two friendly countries to wider horizons, expressing his aspiration Until the strategic dialogue resulted in tangible results that contribute to security and stability by harmonizing efforts and building on common interests.

Confirm cooperation between the two countries

During the meeting, the depth of relations between the Kingdom and Japan was emphasized, and the importance of continuing coordination and cooperation between the two countries at various levels in a way that achieves the interests of the two friendly countries and peoples.
During the meeting, the two memoranda of understanding were signed, the first for the establishment of the strategic partnership council between the Kingdom and Japan, and the second regarding the exemption of holders of diplomatic and private passports from short -term visas.
The meeting was attended by the Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to Japan, Dr. Ghazi bin Faisal bin Zaqr, Director General of the General Administration of Asian countries, Nasser Al Ghannoum, and Assistant Director General of the Office of His Highness Minister Walid Al -Ismail.
