The Fifth Generation Employment Research in improving the movement of Dubai

The Dubai Roads and Communications Authority reviewed with a delegation from the company «EC & Emirates», ways to enhance the use of future technologies in the fields of movement and communications, and to cooperate in joint projects between the two sides, with the aim of upgrading the infrastructure for mobility and developing innovative solutions that keep pace with the requirements of the digital age.

The meeting discussed the use of advanced technologies, such as the fifth generation technology, artificial intelligence and the Internet of Things, in improving smart transportation services and providing innovative solutions that guarantee the comfort and safety of public transport users in Dubai, and enhance the quality of life.

It also reviewed the opportunities to use modern communication networks to provide immediate and accurate data on traffic and logistical services, which contributes to improving the flow of traffic and reducing congestion.

The Roads and Communications Authority highlighted its innovative digital initiatives covering seven major fields, including: digital twinning, metaphors, robots, environmental systems, institutional solutions, artificial intelligence, data analysis, and the Internet of Things.

These initiatives come within the first phase of its digital strategy 2023-2030, which it recently announced, and includes 82 projects, initiative and implementation of a digital infrastructure and the flexibility and ability to develop by 100%, enabling transportation by financial technology by 100%, and raising the percentage of digital adoption of the authority’s services to 95% And enabling the authority’s employees digitally by 100%, and building 50 cases of use in artificial intelligence.
