Mohammed bin Rashid issues a law on organizing the emblem of the Emirate of Dubai and the Dubai Government

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister, may God bless him, in his capacity as ruler of the Emirate of Dubai, issued a law on organizing the emblem of the Emirate of Dubai and the Dubai Government.

It stipulates that the emirate has its own slogan, which reflects its identity, civilization, values, principles and orientations.

The form of this slogan was determined according to the two models of the law.

It also stipulated that the Dubai government has its own slogan, drawn from the emirate’s slogan, and set its shape according to the two models of the law.

According to the law, the Dubai logo is the property of the emirate, and the government’s emblem is the property .

The law stipulated that the slogan be used in places, events, edges and seals belonging to the authorities determined by the head of the Bureau of His Highness the Ruler of Dubai, and no person without government departments, bodies and public institutions, authorities and government councils, and any other public authority affiliated with the Dubai government may use the slogan only With a special permission from the head of the Bureau or who delegates it, and use is according to the controls.

It also stipulated the use of the logo according to the way, requirements and specifications specified in the guide prepared by the General Secretariat of the Executive Council of the Emirate of Dubai, and it is approved by His Highness the President of the Executive Council, and any person is prohibited from using the logo from non -government agencies and other authorized bodies to use, before obtaining permission, as The use of the logo is prohibited for commercial purposes or with the intention of advertising and advertising for products, goods, materials or tools, as well as attacking the logo in any of the images, or using it in any way that leads to its distortion or prejudice to its value or position, and the use of the logo in any activity or event that is incompatible with values Dubai principles, or contradict public order and public morals.

Anyone who knew of any person who is prohibited must inform the competent authority, represented by the Department of Economy and Tourism in Dubai and the authorities supervising the special development areas and free zones, including the Dubai International Financial Center, or the competent judicial authorities.

The law stipulated that with no prejudice to any more severe punishment stipulated in any other legislation, it is punishable by imprisonment for a period of no less than three months and not more than five years and a fine of no less than 100 thousand dirhams and not exceeding 500 thousand dirhams, or with one of these two penalties, each of the He assaults the logo in any form of the images, or uses it in any way that leads to its distortion or prejudice to its value or position, or the logo is used in any activity or event that is incompatible with the values ​​and principles of the Emirate The tools and preparations used to commit the crime.

The law obliges any person to use the logo, at the date of the work of this law, non -governmental agencies or the authorities that have been declared to use, including the slogan attached to Law No. (17) of 2023 regarding the Dubai logo, to remove it and stop its use completely, during 30 days from the date of implementation of the law, unless it has obtained permission.
