The International Conference of the Emirates Association for Rare Diseases will start tomorrow in Dubai

Dubai, February 7/ WAM/ The activities of the third international conference of the Emirates Association for Rare Diseases will be held in Dubai, which is held in cooperation with the Ministry of Health and Community Protection, and the Dubai Health Authority and a number of universities and institutions concerned inside and outside the country in the presence of 300 doctors and specialists from different countries of the world, In order to increase awareness and exchange experiences and explore cooperation opportunities to provide better care for individuals with these diseases.
Dr. Iman Tarim Al Shamsi, consultant and head of the Acting Department of Hematology and Oncology for Children, said, “Al -Jalila” Hospital, President of the Conference Specialized and interactive work within 28 sessions discussing rare diagnostic and treatment methods.
She added that the conference will give the participants 22.75 credit hours for continuous medical education from the Dubai Health Authority, pointing out that the scientific program includes many different axes to ensure the quality of the lives of people with rare diseases and children, including the prevention program “pre -marriage checks” and government support programs for people with determination, the support program and the journey of hope “Coexistence with a rare disease” and the session of dealing with chronic teenage diseases.
She emphasized that the conference is a unique opportunity to exchange information, knowledge and see the latest studies and advanced technology and best practices for developing diagnostic mechanisms and practices, modern treatment methods, support and promotion of scientific research in the areas of rare diseases, improve the quality of the lives of patients and exchange experiences between the various injured and families from inside and outside the country.
She noted that the last day of the conference will include a rich program that focuses on the injured and their families and bringing them together and directly to the specialists to discuss the daily challenges and difficulties facing them, and to provide the best appropriate solutions.
For her part, Nafisa Tawfiq, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Emirates Association for Rare Diseases, Chairman of the Organizational Committee of the Conference, said that the association aims to hold this type of conference annually, coinciding with the International Day for Rare Diseases, which falls on February 28 of each year, which reflects the role of the UAE in supporting the rare diseases community of During the coverage of this annual event, explaining that the focus will be in the “family day” within the activities of the conference on discussing the issues and challenges facing the heroes of rare diseases and their families as well as holding a session entitled “The Trip with Hope” in which the participants review their experiences in overcoming the challenges related to coexistence with A rare disease, and their victories in the face of these difficulties.
The exhibition accompanying the conference, which is considered one of the most important specialized medical conferences that are held annually in the Emirates, participates in 13 local and international companies that display their latest medical products from their modern medication.
