"Dubai Future Experts Programme" Receiving applications for registration begins in its sixth session

Dubai, March 18 / WAM / The Dubai Future Foundation announced the start of receiving applications for registration in the sixth session of the “Dubai Future Experts Program”, the first government program in the world that aims to train an elite group of future experts and enable them to contribute to the design of innovative future policies, strategies and research that enhance Dubai’s position among the best global cities in preparation for the future.
The program focuses on consolidating future-forwarding practices in key governmental sectors, and preparing distinguished Emirati leaders who contribute to formulating future policies, strategies, and innovations for the Dubai government.
The program, which is organized by the Dubai Future Academy and launched in cooperation between the Executive Council of the Emirate of Dubai and the Dubai Future Foundation, hosts an elite group of leading international experts to support the development of foresight capabilities and its advanced applications.
Over the past five sessions, the program has achieved a qualitative impact by graduating 99 experts representing 45 governmental and semi-governmental entities, and witnessed the completion of 133 specialized projects in various fields of future foresight.
Abdul Aziz Al-Jaziri, Executive Vice President of the Dubai Future Foundation, stressed that the qualitative leaps recorded by Dubai, and the record achievements that distinguish its present and shape its future, are based on an integrated system for anticipating the future that believes in the importance of empowering national talents with future skills as they constitute a basic pillar of the leadership’s vision for the future of Dubai.
Al-Jaziri said that Dubai is continuing to achieve leadership and proactiveness by devoting a culture of preparing for the future, designing its opportunities, and empowering experts specialized in anticipating it in various government sector institutions, because this strategic approach has achieved, over the years, a tangible and sustainable impact in building the capabilities of cadres for planning and designing strategies in the government sector, and moving with foresight skills from the stage of interacting with changes and transformations to anticipating them and creating the future.
The Dubai Future Experts Programme, in its sixth session, extends over a period of six months and is presented by local and international experts.
It consists of two levels: The first level is the Certified Future Analyst, which specializes in building future forecasting capabilities, while the second level is the Certified Future Executive, which includes applying future forecasting to realistic institutional challenges.
The first level of the program focuses on developing forward-looking practices and competence through an immersive educational experience based on practical application.
It consists of four training themes that introduce participants to a wide range of foresight methodologies that go beyond strategic foresight, including alternative and transformative approaches.
The trainees participate in face-to-face sessions, practical exercises, key lectures, and field visits, in addition to the practical application of tools and frameworks for foreseeing the future. The activities of this level extend throughout the period from April to June 2026.
The second level focuses on practical application and achieving impact, as participants transform the knowledge and skills they have acquired in anticipating the future into actual practice by developing a forward-looking project that addresses a strategic challenge or opportunity related to their region, their sector, or the Emirate of Dubai as a whole.
This level focuses on project-based work, expert mentoring, collaborative peer learning, and knowledge transfer to support the integration of foresight into institutional decision-making processes. The second level activities will continue throughout the period between June and October 2026.
Once completed, members of the Dubai Future Experts Program have the opportunity to join the alumni network of the Dubai Future Experts Program, where they can attend Dubai Future Foundation events, join regional and international networks in the field of foresight, and contribute their expertise to the program’s initiatives as guest speakers or arbitrators in future foresight projects.
The alumni network also enables them to continue cooperation and exchange knowledge among themselves, while supporting government initiatives specialized in anticipating and designing the future.
The program is receiving applications from Emirati employees wishing to join it in government and semi-government agencies in Dubai from the middle and senior management categories until next April 17.
