Russia announces that it has enough gas reserves for more than 100 years

Moscow, February 7/ WAM/ Russia announced its possession of gas extracted reserves sufficient for more than 100 years from the current production level.

The TASS News Agency quoted the Russian Minister of Natural Resources, “Alexander Cozlov” as saying in statements that his country possesses about five global natural gas reserves, equivalent to 63.5 trillion cubic meters and currently has 4052 licenses for geological studies, exploration and extraction of hydrocarbons distributed over 747 investors in the sector Natural resources.

The Russian minister added that with regard to oil reserves, Russia is ranked fifth in the world with reserves of 31.4 billion tons, which he said is enough for nearly 64.5 years.
