The UAE handed over Bahrain the presidency of the 115th session of the Arab Economic and Social Council

The United Arab Emirates handed over the presidency of the preparatory meetings of the 115th session of the Economic and Social Council of the Arab League, which started today at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the League of Arab States, to the Kingdom of Bahrain, where the Social Committee held a meeting for it, to prepare a project of agenda related to the social file for the session.

The state represented a delegation headed by His Excellency Juma Muhammad Al -Kait, Assistant Undersecretary for the International Trade Affairs Sector at the Ministry of Economy, and included His Excellency Ahmed bin Sulaiman Al Malik, Head of the Department of International Organizations at the Ministry, and His Excellency Mohamed Saleh Shalouh, Advisor to the Minister of Economy.

In his speech during the opening session, His Excellency the UAE’s permanent commitment to support all the frameworks of joint Arab action in various fields, including the social aspect and its associated projects and important initiatives, based on the vision and directives of its wise leadership..

He said that the UAE was keen during its 114th presidency of the Council in its 114th session to support and support the various Arab efforts made to achieve progress in the social aspect, which reflects positively on the reality of sustainable and comprehensive development, especially through pioneering initiatives that create a significant shift and prosperity in social reality Al -Arabi, such as the “Arab Reading Challenge” initiative, which today represents one of the most important pioneering cognitive and cultural initiatives that flow into Arab social development.

He stressed the importance of continuing joint efforts to implement the various decisions of the 114th session of the Economic and Social Council, which constitute a basic pillar and a road map to achieve our common goals in the fields of economics and social development.

Al -Kate announced the delivery of the presidency of the current session to the sisterly Kingdom of Bahrain, wishing it all success in supporting Arab development efforts and enriching the efforts of the Arab Economic and Social Council in various fields and sectors that flow into progress and prosperity for our countries and all Arab feeling.

The project of the agenda of the Social Committee included following up the implementation of the decisions of the 114th session of the Economic and Social Council and the activity of the General Secretariat between the council’s two sessions “114-115“.

The business schedule project also included the social aspects of the economic and social file of the Council of the League of Arab States at the summit level in its 34th regular session in Iraq.
