المملكة: “Islamic Affairs” monitors 1147 cases that exceeded mosques services during 2024
The most prominent observations observed
This came in a report issued by the Department of Protection of Mosques and their services in the Ministry, explaining that the encroachments included the exploitation of the electricity stream of mosques for fuel stations, private properties, farms and abandoned mosques that caused the high rates of electricity and water consumption.
The report also clarified that 741 electricity and water meters were monitored in the name of the ministry in private properties, farms and gas stations, as 422 meters were treated by transporting the beneficiaries and removing them, and 319 meters are underway to transfer or remove them permanently.
Continuing control tours
The ministry indicated that it continues to work through the supervisory tours to ensure that there is no infringement or exploitation of electricity and water meters, or the exploitation of mosques and their properties other than what was allocated to him, within the framework of its keenness on public money and preserving the holiness of God’s homes.
The Ministry called on citizens and residents to cooperate with it in reporting any observations or an infringement of the services or property of mosques by communicating through the unified call number center (1933), or by visiting its branches in the regions to provide communications, stressing the importance of the role of the citizen and the resident in achieving the ministry’s mission in caring for mosques and maintaining Her properties.
