We aim to use advanced technology in 100% of the country’s hospitals by 2031

The Minister of Health and Community Protection, Abdul Rahman Al -Owais, stressed that the national priority within the framework of the vision of “We Emirates 2031” requires the use of advanced technology in 100% of the state hospitals.
He said during his opening speech to the World Health Forum within the agenda of the last day of the World Summit on Governments held in Dubai, that recent years have witnessed unprecedented developments and revolutionary innovations that changed the features of many sectors, and the health care sector was not an exception to that, and the forum focuses on the transformational role of technology and innovation In building a cooperative and sustainable health systems.
He stressed that the UAE is at a unique site to exploit the opportunities provided by these technologies, through the vision of the wise leadership, which was a forerunner in appointing the first minister of artificial intelligence in the world, the advanced technological infrastructure and active investment in technology.
He added that emerging technologies revolutionly in health care in ways that we did not imagine before, through “early detection and improved diagnosis, less penetrating surgical interventions, distance health care, speeding up the discovery of medicines, and providing highly personal health care.
Access to health care
He stressed that technology enhances access to health care, improves therapeutic results, and enables patients, as it supports the development of a workforce eligible for the future, through specialized training programs based on personal adaptation.
He pointed out that the development of technology contributed to making complementary medicine at the forefront of health innovation, by integrating the traditional practices of modern science smoothly.
He continued: “In a world where chronic diseases are increasing, technology and innovation will have a decisive role in reshaping health care to meet the needs and aspirations of our societies, and besides our focus on technology, partnerships are one of our most important origins, whether at the national level, between government agencies and the private sector, or on The international level, through cooperation in stimulating investments in the health care sector, improving supply chains, enhancing preparation for emergency situations and enabling knowledge and experience.
