Dubai Police seized 23 vehicles whose drivers baptized or changed their paintings during the past year, according to the Director of the General Traffic Department, Major General Saif Maziri, who indicated that those involved used various methods to circumvent traffic control devices and monitoring cameras by hiding the numbers to evade violations.

Al Mazrouei added that the methods of blurring included the use of chemicals to hide the panels numbers, while others intend to fold the painting to cover part of it, or add stickers that hinder the identification of their data, pointing out that the men of the public administration and traffic were able to thwart these attempts and control the perpetrators.

Dangerous traffic violations

He revealed the seizure of a young man who appeared in a video clip spread on social media while he was deliberately removing his vehicle’s board, then committing dangerous traffic violations, including the red signal pieces and exceeding the maximum speed, to the degree of driving by more than 190 km in an hour, in addition to committing chaos And a review on the highway, and another driver was seized spraying a chemical to hide part of his painting numbers to appear with a binary number.

He explained that the vehicles that were seized and applied a fine of 50 thousand dirhams to break the reservation in accordance with the provisions of Decree No. 30 of 2023 regarding the seizure of vehicles, stressing that the Dubai Police is strictly dealt Just a traffic violation.

Al Mazrouei pointed out that Dubai Police has smart and advanced technologies that can detect any attempt to blur or change the features of the paintings, and follow the internal and external roads periodically to control these violations, calling on community members to cooperate with the police in monitoring any negative behaviors and reporting them through the “police eye” service in implementing Dubai Police on smartphones, or by calling the “We are all police” program on the number 901.
